Active people make a healthy Savannah! We approach this space by looking to improve access to activity. Promoting activity-friendly routes to everyday destinations, like walking and biking trails, are giant leaps forward to reconnecting our divided built environment.
Generally, active people live longer and are at less risk for serious chronic health problems. Even small amounts of consistent physical activity can help manage these conditions and complications and improve overall well-being. Physical activity also benefits the community by increasing retail economic activity and employments, supporting neighborhood revitalization, reducing health care costs, and increasing property values.
