Health Equi-Tea

Healthy Savannah and Ashford Tea Company are brewing up something special. Introducing the “Health Equi-Tea,” a loose, tasty tisane with great ingredients that can be served hot or cold. Enjoy this special blend of sliced turmeric, rooibos, fennel, Melissa’s leaves, coconut flakes, sea buckthorn, aloe vera, chamomile, sweet blackberry leaves, peppermint, blue cornflower blossoms, and chlorella algae powder. The ingredients come with a suite of potential health benefits, including reducing inflammation, aiding digestion, improving mood, and helping with sleep and relaxation.

Healthy Savannah and Ashford Tea Company share a commitment to instilling a culture of health in Savannah and building power within the community. We seek to reach beyond and break down the barriers that create and exacerbate health disparities. Together, we promote health equity, the ability for all people to attain their full health potential and freely live, learn, work, and play. We achieve our mission through community education and engagement. We endeavor to achieve equitable outcomes for all Savannahians.

“When I first discovered tea as my business widget after falling in love with it as a kid; the more I researched it the more I wanted to live life to the Tea,” said Wayne Ashford, founder and CEO of Ashford Tea Company. “All the potential benefits of tea drove me to the need to share what I believe is the second most important beverage in life within our communities that are disproportionately affected by a vast amount of ailments. Tea may assist with lowering the percentage of being affected by those ailments. With that said from the very first meeting with Paula and her beautiful zest for health and wellness, both personally and humanely, while understanding the big picture of inequalities and how they influence our community’s decisions on all quality of life choices. I needed to get involved. Our dreams and passions can’t live alone you have to attach your dreams and passions to other dreams and passions. Paula has enabled me to attach my dreams and passion to further assist the communities I love.”

“I am very excited about our partnership with Ashford Tea Company. We have the same values and care about the outcomes of our community,” says Paula Kreissler, Executive Director of Healthy Savannah. “I love that we are able to work together, and above all, I love Health Equi-Tea! I drink it all the time. My tea time is a favorite part of my day.”
