Healthy Walks Reaching Fifth Anniversary

Back when we were all searching for ways to interact safely during the pandemic, Healthy Savannah started weekly two-mile walks that could bring people together while still allowing them their distance.

Tuesday, March 25 will mark the fifth anniversary of what became known as the Healthy Walks.

Just two weeks after Covid shut down most public activities in Savannah, the Healthy walks were launched to provide both social and health benefits. They were well attended to start and continued to be popular community activities.

Tuesday’s anniversary walk will start and end at the Scarborough Sports Complex off of Skidaway Road. There will be a brief ceremony at the completion of the walk.
