Vision Statement

All Savannah Chatham County communities eat affordable, nutritious, locally and sustainably grown food.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Savannah Chatham County Food Policy Council is to coordinate and communicate efforts that develop, support, and promote policies that impact equitable access, sustainable production, and widespread understanding of healthy local food.

Community Gardening

Community gardens play a crucial role in increasing access to fresh, nutritious food, promoting sustainability, and strengthening community connections. They provide a space where neighbors can grow their own produce and work toward a healthier future. The Savannah Chatham Food Policy Council is hosting a series of community garden visits this year to learn, connect, and explore ways to support a more equitable local food system. We’d love to see you there! Want to visit other community gardens? View Savannah’s community garden map here to find a garden near you.
