Healthy Savannah discusses new HPV awareness and outreach campaign

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – If there was a shot that could prevent certain cancers, would you take it? You probably would at least want to learn more about it.

Healthy Savannah is trying to provide information on the HPV Vaccine with a new outreach campaign to create awareness primarily in Savannah’s black and Hispanic communities.

Dr. Elsie Smalls is the adult immunization program manager for Healthy Savannah.

She visited WTOC Friday morning with details on the HPV Vaccine and how her organization is getting word out about it.
