The Georgia Urban Forest Council 25th Annual Conference and Awards Program

The Georgia Urban Forest Council (GUFC) is presenting its 25th Annual Conference and Awards Program in Savannah this November 4 and 5 in Savannah where the theme will be “The Forest Pharmacy:  Nature’s Prescription for Healthy Communities.”  Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Kathleen Wolf, Research Social Scientist at The University of Washington, is a leader in the study of the human dimensions of urban forestry and urban ecosystems.  Also attending will be Ray Tretheway, Executive Director of the Sacramento Tree Foundation, who will be relating their findings on their tree canopy/health benefits studies, as well as  local and regional professionals in the fields of preservation, conservation and design.
