A fun family time for all, as well as a fundraiser for their Middle School Athletics. Grades 6-8 have been added to Hesse over the last few years, so they are excited to see their sports program grow. Have your children run for fun in the Kids ¼-mile, then walk, jog, or race in the 5K! Strollers/baby joggers are welcome.
Runners will park in the lot of Savannah Christian’s East Campus, just off the Whitefield Ave. exit from the Truman Parkway. If you are coming south on Waters Ave., take a left into the Savannah Christian East Campus, just after you pass Hesse. Walk through the gate and across the field to the back of the school.

The Hesse Booster Club is a parent volunteer organization founded in 2011 in order to support the athletic programs at Hesse K-8. The school has offered sports to middle school students for only 4 years and as a new program the school has many needs. The county can only provide a portion of these items due to budgetary responsibilities in the school district. The desire of the Hesse Booster Club is to fill in the gaps and to provide their student athletes with the same sporting opportunities and equipment as older, more established middle schools in Chatham County can offer. They rely on the funds raised during the Hesse Bear Stomp 5K, as it is the largest fundraiser that they host each year. The funds raised by the booster club has allowed them to purchase the following items for the school: New sports uniforms, a batting cage, baseballs, bats, gloves, jerseys, practice shirts, water coolers, adding additional sports and a sports banquet to honor their athletes at the end of each school year. In the future the Hesse Booster Club would like to raise funds so that they can provide the school and athletes with items that would allow Hesse to host games on their campus and have a true “home field’ advantage: Bleachers for outdoor sports, new soccer goals, a new volleyball net, a pitching machine, equipment carts and outdoor scoreboards. The booster club feels that if students have the proper equipment for playing sports that they will be more likely to become involved in school sports and this, in turn will spark a life long desire to stay active, fit and learn about the values of team work. Your support by joining us for the Hesse Bear Stomp 5K and Fun Run is greatly appreciated!
