The fourth and final 2019 Enmarket health education lecture, scheduled for Tuesday, October 29, will feature a free lunchtime talk on the benefits of strength training at any age. The lecture will be presented at the Charles H. Morris Center, 10 East Broad St.
This session will be presented by health and fitness coach Katie Balthrop, owner of Savannah Sport and Wellness. Katie has her Master’s in Sports Medicine. During the event, the Low Country Down Syndrome Society will receive a $1000 grant from Healthy Savannah. In September, Enmarket and Healthy Savannah will have a volunteer service day at their Buddy Walk on Saturday, October 5, 2019. This marks the sixth year for the Enmarket Encourage Health Education Series co-sponsored with Healthy Savannah.
