Healthy Savannah Celebrates 10 Years!

Friday May 12, 2017 Healthy Savannah celebrated TEN years of making the healthy choice, the easy choice.

Our annual meeting kicked off with a message from our founder, and dear friend, Dr. Otis Johnson, former Mayor of the City of Savannah. View his well-wishes here.

During our annual meeting new board officers and members were voted in and past presidents were honored. Immediate Past President, Lizann Roberts passed the gavel  to the incoming board President Tamala Fulton.

We also had the pleasure of honoring the Savannah Bicycle Campaign and their New Standard Cycles program with the Health Innovation award.

Healthy Savannah was fortunate  to have Dr. Dwayne C. Proctor of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as our keynote speaker. Dr. Proctor spoke on healthy equity and eliminating health disparities.

We bring to you here a video of the keynote address by Dr. Proctor as well as The full video recap of the event, courtesy of Carriage Trade PR.

The Savannah Morning News covered the event, read the article here.

You can also view the Spotted Savannahnow gallery here.

We would like to extend a special thanks to the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum for hosting us, and our fabulous caterers The Southern Palate for the amazing, healthy breakfast!
